Official Android 9.0 Pie update starts rolling out for US unlocked LG G7 ThinQ

Before LG releases yet another flagship smartphone or two, the company still has a few loose ends to tie up in terms of software support for older high-end models. Case in point, 2018's G7 ThinQ, which made its commercial debut last summer running Android 8.0 Oreo and remains stuck with that outdated OS version in a number of places and on several major carriers.

Technically, the Snapdragon 845-powered device began receiving Pie-flavored goodies many months ago, but as is often the case, it took an excruciatingly long time for that official update to spread its wings to the US. ...
