You're not going crazy, Google updated the color scheme of the Play Store

No, you aren't going crazy - Google changed up the color schemes of the main sections within the Play Store. The Games, Movies & TV, Books, and Music sections of the Play Store app have been updated with more muted and mature colors. Gone is the eye-gouging vibrancy of the previous color scheme which looks quite childish in its approach. Kudos to Google for going with a more mature and serious tone!

Another point worth making is that the new colors schemes seem like the perfect sidekicks for a system-wide dark theme, an ever-evasive feature that has been requested for years now.
