Ah, "The Notch" — the hot topic of 2018. It's a controversial design decision ever since Apple put one on its $999 iPhone X last year. If you are fuzzy on what it is we call the Notch — it's the cutout at the top of a phone's display, which houses the front-facing camera and sensors. Its presence eats into the screen, spoiling a perfect rectangular shape and irritating a good portion of smartphone fans in the process.
