Apple is now selling a standalone $29 18W USB-C power adapter to fast charge your iPhone

As if living that dongle life wasn’t hard enough, iPhone XS and XR users wanting to charge their hot new mobile devices more rapidly than the out-of-box setup need to spend quite a bit of extra money on a couple of separately sold accessories.

One of the most desired such adapters wasn’t even available until yesterday, when it finally surfaced on the official online Apple Store in the US with little to no fanfare. That’s probably because this 18W USB-C charger is somewhat overpriced, at $29.
