
Of all the different consumer tech divisions, we least expected to see the tablet market grow at a time of grave global economic suffering and instability. That's because tablet sales have been on the decline around the world for almost as long as this writer can remember, and it was certainly hard to anticipate that trend could be suddenly reversed as non-essential spending took a big hit for many people across key markets like the US due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But as it turns out, tablets did prove essential after all for a lot of folks who had to work or take classes ...
