The other day, we told you that the FCC had given Sprint a waiver allowing the carrier and T-Mobile to discuss bidding tactics before the upcoming FCC auction 103. Usually, this kind of pre-auction coordination is frowned upon by the regulatory agency. However, the FCC has basically approved the merger internally (three out of five commissioners have given the thumbs up) and all that remains is the official vote tally.
