Verizon is the first US carrier to update the LG V40 ThinQ to Android 9.0 Pie

Despite the fact that T-Mobile teased the upcoming release of the LG V40 ThinQ Android 9.0 Pie update about two weeks ago, Verizon is actually the first US carrier to offer the update to its customers.

The announcement published on Verizon's website mentions that the Android 9.0 Pie update is rolling out to LG V40 ThinQ units since May 24. It contains the April security patch and some other nifty new features, including home screen lock, game launch, pin to screen option, brief notifications, Cine Shot and YouTube Live.
