Apple's Tim Cook instrumental in avoiding costly trade war with China

The US is on the brink of the most comprehensive trade deal with China that has ever been attempted, and apparently Apple's CEO Tim Cook is supervising the process in a consulting role so that the White House team doesn't step on American companies toes while trying to extract concessions.

Apple is in an interesting double-edged position in any dealings with China as it is one of its largest markets plus it directly supports about 3 million jobs there in electronics assembly and supply chain.
