Did Xiaomi make a big mistake when it scheduled the Mi 9 unveiling?

We're not sure what Xiaomi is thinking, but a tweet disseminated this evening by tipster Ice Universe shows that the Xiaomi Mi 9 will be introduced on February 20th (see image at the top of this article). That's the day, of course, when Samsung will hold its Unpacked 2019 event unveiling the eagerly awaited Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and the foldable Galaxy F. While Xiaomi does have its fans in certain markets, and the Mi 9 is the company's flagship phone, going up against Sammy for media attention is not such a great idea.
