It has become a fun little tradition for Google over the past few years to precede the I/O developer conference with an awards ceremony honoring the most innovative creators of some of the best Android apps available in the search giant's Play Store.
The nominees for the aptly titled 2019 Google Play Awards across a grand total of nine categories were unveiled just a couple of weeks ago, and mere hours ahead of the official start of this year's I/O shindig, the winners received their well-deserved trophies. Mind you, these are not the end-of-the-year "best of" Google Play accolades ...
